The AGM for the Chamber was recently conducted at the Muswellbrook RSL. The AGM is usually held in conjunction with the monthly breakfast, but due to Covid-19 restriction, was held as a stand only event.
Those attending were presented with reports from President Mike Kelly, Treasurer Lorraine Skinner, and Wayne Toms Member Services Manager.
Despite the challenges of Covid-19, the Chamber has seen solid growth and continued to
represent and support members and the Muswellbrook community.
Over the last FY we have seen a 32% growth in new members with membership now over 200.
To assist members manage the impacts of Covid-19, the Chamber ran a number of support programs throughout the year, including, Inter-business Support Program and Mental Health Training for Managers. In addition, the Chamber also provided Free Digital Workshops and as part of Small Business Month produced a Go Local First video campaign promoting buying and supporting local.
Events throughout the year included the Muswellbrook Business Awards and the inaugural Upper Hunter Inspirations Conference.
To conclude the meeting, and in Accordance with the constitution, all Board positions were declared vacant and elections for 2021/2022 were carried out. There were eight (8) Board positions available, and eight (8) nominations received. With there being no further candidates, there was no need for a ballot and those nominated were duly elected.
