We are proud to announce that the Chamber’s Great Cattle Dog Muster is a finalist in this year’s Tidy Towns Awards in the ‘Bush Spirit’ category.
The winners of the prestigious Keep Australia Beautiful NSW (KAB NSW) 2023 Tidy Towns Awards will be announced on Saturday 4th November at two events to be held in the town of Scone, the overall Tidy Towns winner from 2022.
Several category awards will be presented at the Scone Bowling Club in the morning with the remaining category winners presented at a dinner at the Scone Racing Club. The Overall 2023 KAB NSW Tidy Town Winner will be announced from amongst the seven finalist towns.
KAB NSW has been running the Tidy Towns program since 1981 which celebrates, recognises and rewards projects that reduce litter, minimise waste, encourage recycling, promote heritage and culture, biodiversity, and waterways protection, celebrate community spirit and many other environmental areas.
KAB NSW Chief Executive Officer, Val Southam said “We are very proud of all the rural, regional, and coastal towns and villages across NSW who have contributed to their communities during 2023 and taken part in the 2023 Tidy Towns Award Program.
“The quality of the competition this year has been exceptional making it difficult for our judging panel to select winners. In each category. The commitment of the councils, organisations and individuals is inspiring, and I would like to congratulate everyone who entered.”
The awards are held by Keep Australia Beautiful NSW with support from the NSW Environment Protection Authority, Upper Hunter Shire Council, Snowy Hydro, Australian Rail Track Corporation and TerraCycle.
